Shredding and Recycling Fundraiser
Shredding and Recycling Fundraiser a Huge Success
East Stroudsburg. The Rotary Club of the Smithfields held a paper shredding and electronics recycling fundraiser in conjunction with DES Community Partners in Recycling. On Saturday, May 3, 2014 the Rotary Club and DES accepted paper, aluminum, bottles, plastics and electronic equipment from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Peppe’s Bistro and Skylanes Bowling Center, Eagle Valley Corners, East Stroudsburg.
For a small donation individuals and businesses were able to safely and securely shred its documents and recycle old televisions, computer screens and computer monitors.
Aluminum, glass, bottles and plastic will also be accepted for recycling, as will other electronic devices for an additional donation at the donor’s discretion to this worthy cause.
The funds raised benefit the community projects undertaken by the Rotary Club of the Smithfields, which has assisted the Clementine Abeloff Pediatric Clinic at Pocono Medical Center, the AWSOM animal shelter in Stroudsburg, Bushkill Outreach, Rotary Youth Leadership Camp student scholarships and its annual dictionary distribution to third grade students in the East Stroudsburg Area School District.
