Short Story Contest, Winter 2016

On January 19, 2016, the Rotary of the Smithfields short story contest winners joined our breakfast meeting to read their stories. The short story theme was "Overcoming Obstacles."

Our winners were as follows:

First Place: Jack Serowick, JTL School 6th grade. Photographs include his parents, Jen Serowick, Jeff Serowick and younger sister, Jules Serowick.

Jack Serowick also placed first in the Rotary District 7410 short story contest with his story.

Second Place: Paige Davis, Resica Elementary 4th grade. Not present at the meeting.

Third Place: Alyssa Foran, Bushkill Elementary 5th grade. Photographs include her parents, Paul Foran and Widya Foran. Our club will also be sponsoring a speech contest during the spring.
